Ladies’ Enrichment Ministries
A ministry within a ministry, the LEM reaches out to others through a variety of missions and ministry work as they also support each other. Women learn from other women through fellowships, Bible studies, retreats, and activities. The ladies usually meet for a time of fellowship and a meal on the second Saturday each month at 11 am
As Baptist Men meet each month, they are challenged as they learn of needs around the world. However, they also put missions in action as you may see them come together to build a handicap ramp for someone locally or travel to an area to help them rebuild after a hurricane. They usually meet for breakfast once a month at 8 am before Sunday School and Worship.
The CARE Ministry meets the First Thursday and Third Tuesday of each month. A free fellowship meal is offered at 6:30 pm. CARE is an acrostic for Caring About Reaching Everyone. After enjoying a fellowship meal together, members choose to reach out to others in a variety of ways – either by sending cards, making phone calls, visiting, or taking time to pray for specific needs. All ages are invited to join us as we seek to find ways to minister to our church members and throughout our community.
Crisis Pregnancy Center
Cleveland County has a very active ministry known as the Crisis Pregnancy Center. This center provides information to women of any age who may facing an unplanned pregnancy. Some of their services include free pregnancy tests, free first and second trimester ultrasound, clothing and baby furnishings, and referrals for adoption, housing, medical care, legal assistance and community services.
Some of the ways our church helps this ministry is through a “baby shower,” providing needed clothes, diapers and other supplies for newborns, as well as collecting baby bottles filled with coins providing donations used to support this ministry.

Recent years have seen an increase in the homeless population in our area. In Cleveland County, there are homeless shelters for both men and women. Several Sunday school classes have committed to continue to provide meals as well as to assist with other needs at the shelters as much as possible.
When someone is experiencing the last few months of his or her life, sometimes it is the simple things that bring so much peace. Volunteers are given training to help them provide basic care and companionship, a much-needed support for the patient and for their family members as well.

The Regional AIDS Interfaith Network works to support individuals and their families who have been affected by HIV/AIDS. Often it is through simple tasks, such as taking someone for an appointment or providing a listening ear, that people may realize that Jesus cares about them and His love is for everyone. Those on the RAIN Team seek to help provide for the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of those affected by HIV/AIDS.
